Inaugural Prayer Service - 24th March, 2014
An Inaugural Prayer Service was conducted in the school campus by worthy Principal, Rev. Sister Christo to seek the blessings of the Almighty Lord for the smooth functioning of the new academic session 2014-2015. Prayer without lighting the lamp is always incomplete. Rev. Father John the Director, Rev Sister Christo the Principal and all the section coordinators lit the lamp of enlightenment. Holy readings from the Guru Granth Sahib, Bhagwat Geeta and Bible were read and offertory prayers were conducted by the students, so that we are always being showered by his choicest blessings, so that He is always there to guide and show us the right path. Rev. Father John conveyed the message that we should always believe in our self and work with full determination and dedication to achieve success in all our endeavors. He wished everyone good luck for the session 2014-15. The Prayer service was concluded with thanks giving Hymn and finally the School Anthem with the hope that this year brings success and laurels to the school in all the fields.

Earth Day Celebration - 22nd April, 2014
Earth Day was celebrated in the school with full gaiety and mirth. The function began with the blessings of the Almighty God through Lord's prayer followed by a Prayer Dance performance. Amandeep Kaur, a student of class XI in her speech stressed on the alarming condition of our Planet today and the dire need to preserve it. Primary students enthralled all with the recital of a song 'I am the Earth'. The exuberant students of the school showcased their love for nature and the mother earth through a wonderful monologue on "Save Mother Earth". Rev Director Fr. John and Rev. Principal Sr. Christo planted saplings in their endeavour to emphasise on the need to make Earth greener and better place to live in. The Director of the school in his message encouraged the students to shoulder the responsibility of taking care of Mother Earth. The function concluded with a pledge taken by the Sacred Heartians to act as responsible citizens and nurture Mother Earth whole heartedly.

Labour's Day Celebrations - 1st May, 2014
A gala function was presented on the occasion of Labour Day on 1st May,2014 with floral greetings to the workers. The function kicked off with a speech welcoming the workers and acknowledging their hard work. A prayer dance marked the beginning of the programme followed by entertainment programme specially prepared for the workers of the school. The workers were simply overwhelmed and expressed their gratitude towards the school management , teachers and students for their noble endeavour. Rev. Fr. John the Director of the school in his speech focused on the contribution of workers for the successful functioning of the school. He also lauded the commendable efforts of the workers who are indispensible for any institution. The curtain came down with recital of the school anthem.

Investiture Ceremony of School and House Cabinet - 3rd May, 2014
Investiture ceremony was celebrated on 3rd May 2014 with great zeal and fervor. The worthy Principal of the school Rev. Sister Christo proudly announced the school cabinet and house cabinet for the session 2014-2015 and provided sashes as a mark of recognition to the newly elected members. The newly elected team took a pledge to maintain the prestige of the school and enhance its glory towards the zenith. The parents of the new cabinet members were invited to witness this proud moment. Rev. Father John, the honourable Director and Rev. Sister Christo, the worthy Principal of the school congratulated and blessed the members of cabinet to fulfill the tenure with perseverance and dedication.

Mothers' Day Celebrations - 10th May, 2014
A warm welcome was accorded to the mothers of Primary Section students on the occasion of Mothers' Day i.e on 10th May,14. Mothers were overwhelmed to spend some time with the children in the class rooms. A small entertainment programme was organized for the guest mothers. The mothers expressed their gratitude towards the school management , teachers and students for their noble endeavour. Rev. Sr. Christo, the Principal of the school in her address applauded the efforts of mothers and for their contribution to the society. She also appreciated the selfless love and the sacrifices of the mothers who are indispensible for any family.
The curtain came down with a small get together of the guest mothers with the Principal and the staff members .

Orientation Programme for Parents - 8th May - 12th May, 2014
An ORIENTATION PROGRAMME for the parents of students of classes IX and X was organized from 8th May to 12th May, 2014. The programme was based on "PARENTING TEEN AND SELF ESTEEM". Mrs. Shamina Deol, the school counsellor was the resource person. The whole programme began with a prayer song followed by formal welcoming of the parents. Teenage is the phase of life full of trials and tribulations and poses a great challenge for children and parents alike. Mrs. Shamina acquainted the parents with various techniques of good parenting by adopting different methodologies. She also laid emphasis on low self esteem that children face as teenagers and how parents should give due consideration to this significant aspect of life. The response of the parents was indeed overwhelming and they lauded the efforts of the school for organizing the workshop on a contemporary relevant topic. The session came to a close on 12th May with the words of gratitude to the esteemed Principal of the school Rev. Sister Christo thanking her for this novel endeavour.

Independence Day Celebrations - 14th Aug, 2014
Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School enthused the patriotic fervor throughout the Independence day week through different activities and the icing on the cake was the celebrations on 14th August, 2014 initiated with a prayer dance to invoke the blessings of the Almighty on free India. Primary students ignited the audience with their song, dances and a speech, and this was punctuated by a poem from the senior secondary section. A tribute to women freedom fighters and choreography bringing out solidarity and unity in diversity enforced the message of peace to strengthen universal brotherhood. The director of the school, Rev. Father John, emphasized on understanding the true meaning of freedom and marching in unison, defeating all odds to take India to dizzying heights of glory. The Principal, Rev. Sr. Christo also greeted the students on this auspicious occasion. The programme concluded with an exciting rendering of the National Anthem.

Annual Academic Prize Distribution of Primary Classes - 25th Aug,2014
To felicitate the academic prize winners of primary section, Annual Academic Prize Distribution function was organized 25th August, 2014. Mr. Gurjot Singh, DEO Elementary, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The students from classes II to V scoring C.G.P.A 10 and students with full attendance were awarded with certificates. The students who brought laurels to the school by winning different positions in NSO, NCO and IMO were also felicitated on the occasion. The chief guest congratulated all the prize winners and motivated the students through his words of wisdom by giving them the message of continuous learning and commitments to achieve their goal. Rev. Father John, the Director of the school and Rev. Sister Christo, worthy Principal appreciated the hard work of the students and efforts of teachers who guided them to achieve their goals.

Annual Prize Distribution for classes VI-XII - 29th August, 2014
The meritorious students of the session 2013-2014 were felicitated at Annual Academic Prize Distribution Function on 29th August, 2014. Dr. Mrs. Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director, Students Welfare, PAU Ludhiana, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. She awarded certificates and trophies to the students scoring C.G.P.A 10 from classes VI to X, position holders of XI and the students with full attendance. The students who brought laurels to the school by winning different positions in NSO, NCO and IMO were also felicitated on the occasion. The Chief Guest Dr. Mrs. Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal congratulated all the prize winners and motivated all the students to reach their goals with dedication, diligence and commitment. The Director of the school, Rev. Fr. John and the worthy Principal, Rev. Sr. Christo also applauded and appreciated the hard work of the students and sincere efforts put up by the teachers to guide them and make them realize their goals.

Teachers' Day Celebrations - 5th Sep, 2014
Teachers' day was celebrated with great gusto and aplomb on 5th September, 2014. The function kicked off with a prayer dance presented by the students of primary and high school. Student volunteers presented flowers as a token of their love and gratitude for the teachers. Gurleen Chawla & Surmeet Kaur, the students of class XI, in their speech lauded the teachers for being friends, philosophers and guides to children, leaving an indelible imprint on their tender minds. The fusion dance presentation by senior secondary students was a scintillating amalgamation of vibrant music and rhythmic steps. This was followed by a skit which mirrored the teachers as architects of the future generation and ones who bring about a positive change in the overall behaviour of their students by leading them to a lofty character and to exemplary morals was appreciated by one and all. A group song by primary and high school students that focussed on the indispensable role of the teachers in the school and society at large was highly captivating. A mesmerizing bhangra presented by the students of high school added flavour to the whole occasion. The teachers were overwhelmed and expressed their gratitude towards the school management and students for their warm endeavour. Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Father John, the esteemed Director of the school and Rev. Sr. Christo, the worthy principal of the school acknowledged the relentless services being rendered by the teachers of the school and emphasized on the need to hold them in the high esteem. The curtain came down with the recital of the school anthem.

Honourable Prime Minister
Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narender Modi, took an initiative to address the students and teachers of our nation on the occasion of Teachers' Day.

Under the able guidance and stewardship of the Director, Rev. Father John and the Principal, Rev. Sister Christo, wonderful arrangements were made to organize the event. It was indeed the most unique method of communicating with the students and teachers. Students from classes 5 -12 were shown the live telecast of PM’s address in the auditorium. The rest of the students were given an opportunity to listen to this interaction through intercom while sitting in their classes.

The Prime Minister was accorded a floral welcome by the H.R. minister, Mrs. Smriti Irani followed by her speech. The Prime Minister shared some of his most valuable and enriching thoughts with the students sitting across the country in a face to face interaction and as well as through video conferencing. He addressed to the queries of the students in a very lively and enthusiastic manner. He addressed them as 'Bal Mitr' and motivated them by saying, "Dream not to be something; dream to do something." He showed his concern regarding educating the girl child. He also shared his learning experiences and stressed that both his experiences and teachers have played a vital role in his life.

Students showed a keen interest in the speech. They also noted down the key points. It was a novel endeavour on part of the Prime Minister which was appreciated by teachers and students alike.
