| Inaugural Prayer Service - 29th March, 2012 |
An Inaugural Prayer Service was conducted in the school campus to seek the blessings of the Almighty Lord for the smooth functioning of the new academic session 2012-13. Prayer without lighting the lamp is always incomplete. Rev. Father John the Director, Rev Sister Christo the Principal and all the section coordinators lit the lamp of enlightment. Holy readings from the Guru Granth Sahib, Bhagwat Geeta and Bible were read, So that we are always being showered by his choicest blessings, so that He is always there to guide and show us the right path. Rev. Father John conveyed the message that we should always believe in our self and work with full determination and dedication to achieve success in all our endeavors. He wished everyone good luck for the session 2012-13. The Prayer service was concluded with thanks giving Hymn and finally the School Anthem with the hope that this year brings success and laurels to the school in all the fields. Top |

| Orientation Programme for Parents of Students of Nursery Class - 2nd - 4th April, 2012 |
A three days Orientation Programme from April 2 to April 4,2012 was organized for the parents of the new nursery students with the objective of sensitizing them about the need of the hour i.e. “Parenting With dignity”.
Our Worthy Principal, Rev. Sr. Christo shared 10 priceless gifts that parents can give to children to shine in the incredibly important role of parent’s partnership in education. Mrs. Indu Sharma, the Kindergarten Coordinator, sensitized the parents about the rules and regulations of the school and safety precautions which will help the child to adjust to his new environment and overcome separation anxiety. Mrs. Shamina Deol, Child Counsellor of the school, discussed the various styles of parenting and its impact on children, with emphasis upon positive parenting and its outcome.
The programme ended with an interactive session in which the coordinator and the counsellor clarified the doubts of the parents.

| Green Earth Day Rally on 19th April, 2012 |
To sensitize and inspire the general masses about the dire need to preserve our Mother Earth, ‘Green Earth Day Rally’ was organized on 19th April 2012. The Chief Guest of the occasion Mr. Preenu Abrahim (ASM Fritto Lays) flagged off the rally conveying the message of saving our unique planet from further harm. The esteemed Director of the school Rev. Fr. John also motivated the young generation to continue putting in consistent and determined endeavours for the cause. Top |

| Earth Fest Celebration- 21st April, 2012 |
Keeping in view the growing need for maintaining Eco-balance, an Earth Day Assembly was conducted on 21st April 2012 in which students were sensitized about the importance of ‘Safe Environment’. A play ‘The Earth Story’ was enacted in which students conveyed a message that as young earth trustees, they have to keep their planet beautiful and flourishing. . The chief guest Mr. Bharat Bhushan MLA urged the students to protect the rich and varied legacy of the mother Earth with their own hands. Top |

| Labours Day Celebrations -2nd May,2012 |
A gala function on the occasion of Labour’s day was organised on 2nd May,12. The function kicked off with a speech, welcoming the workers and acknowledging their hard work. A qawaali competition was held and games were organized for the workers. Rev. Father John, the Director of the school in his speech focused on the contribution of workers for the successful functioning of the school. Rev Sister Christo, the Principal of the school, also lauded the commendable efforts of the workers who are indispensible for any institution. Top |

| Sacred Heart Students Learn School Bus Safety Rules |
The safe transportation of our children to and from school concerns all of us. To promote and ensure the safety of its students the school has initiated a new transportation policy, “Be Cool- Follow School Bus Safety Rules”, facilitated by Mrs. Shamina Deol, Child Counsellor of the school. Under this policy, the school bus driver safety workshop was conducted wherein the moral aspects of their duty and the code of conduct to be followed while handling children were also discussed. To make the transportation policy more effective, an interactive session was conducted for the high school students on safe bus transportation and a practical training programme for children ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. The training introduced a series of subjects such as safety at the bus stops, behavior on the bus, emergency exits and things to be aware of while riding the bus.
Rev. Sister. Christo, the Principal of the school, said the program was presented in response to efforts by the school to create a disciplined atmosphere in the school vans to reduce the risk of accidents. So the school transportation is now considered an extension of the classroom and the school conduct rules applies to the school transportation as well.
The training included the discussion, real bus as the communicator for teaching rules of safety and proper actions while riding a school bus. With hands and fingers waving in the air, children showed how much they learned from a special fun interactive learning opportunity.

| Investiture Ceremony - 9th May,2012 |
It was a proud moment for the school when the newly elected School Cabinet pledged to uphold the ideals and values of Sacred Heart and act as a role model for the fellow students in the investiture ceremony held on 9th May,2012. The ceremony started by seeking Lord’s blessings for the endeavour. Oath and Badging Ceremony was held. Rev. Father John stated that the poise and confidence of the Sacred Heartians is commendable and would help them to touch the pinnacle of glory.Rev. Sr. Christo congratulated the Cabinet Members and inspired them to strive hard to come up to the expectations of all. The newly elected Head boy, Mayank Kharbanda and Head girl, Harsimrat Chawla and the cabinet members promised to do their utmost best to take the school to dizzying heights of success. Top |

| Investiture Ceremony and Academic Prize distribution of Primary Section -10th May, 2012 |
Investiture Ceremony and Academic Prize Distribution was held on 10th May 2012.The judiciously elected cabinet members took oath. The Head boy Gurpreet Singh and Head girl Divnoor Kaur were the proud members of the cabinet. Prizes were given to the students who excelled academically in the session 2011–2012. Students with 100% attendance for the session 2011 – 2012 were awarded with the certificates. The Principal, Rev. Sister Christo congratulated the prize winners and motivated others for the next session. Top |
